Le Parlement européen poursuit son travail de lutte contre les pratiques commerciales déloyales. Sur la base du rapport du député européen Paolo De Castro (Italie), il sera amené à se prononcer jeudi 25 octobre sur l’ouverture de négociations avec le Conseil et la Commission européenne, avec le mandat de la commission de l’agriculture du Parlement européen, pour faire avancer cet épineux chantier.

« Si le mandat est accepté, Paolo De Castro pourra commencer à négocier dès cette semaine. Si le mandat est rejeté, il y aura un vote à la plénière de novembre avec nouveau dépôt d’amendement », confie un proche du dossier.

« Cut the unfair »

Le Copa-Cogeca, la FNSEA, le Ceja et Jeunes Agriculteurs (JA) ont apporté mercredi 24 octobre un soutien actif au règlement proposé, en manifestant devant le siège du Parlement, à Strasbourg. Au slogan de « Cut the unfair » (« Stop aux pratiques déloyales », ils appellent « tous les députés européens soucieux de l’avenir du secteur agricole à voter pour mettre un terme à l’injustice ».

Une « action flash » à laquelle se sont notamment joints les députés Paolo De Castro, Mairead McGuiness, Michel Dantin et Marc Tarabella.
